The 16th Biennial International Conference on Industrial Logistics 2025 will take place in Tokyo, Japan, from October 30th to November 2nd, 2025, hosted by the International Centre for Innovation and Industrial Logistics (ICIIL) and held at Ritsumeikan University’s Tokyo Campus. Prof. Jayant Rajgopal (University of Pittsburgh) will deliver the keynote address.
ICIIL is a non-profit professional association that develops an integrated view of Industrial Logistics and facilitates the exchange of ideas and research among professionals, academics, students, and industry leaders. The ICIL is the main platform through which these objectives are pursued worldwide, with events held in France (1993), Brazil (1995), the USA (1997), Russia (1999), Japan (2001), Finland (2003), Uruguay (2005), Lithuania (2006), Israel (2008), Brazil (2010), Croatia (2012), Croatia (2014), Poland (2016), Israel (2018), and Croatia (2023). In 2025, Japan will host researchers once more.
The conference will feature a multidisciplinary program that will include original research results and contributions to the fields of logistics and supply chain management. The Organizing and Scientific Committees welcome submissions from professionals, academics, students, and industry practitioners. We especially encourage research that examines the effect of Industry 5.0 on logistics and supply chain management. We also welcome papers on advanced analytics, supply chain optimization, smart and connected logistics, circular economy models, and carbon-neutral operations. Topics such as data-driven decision-making, ethical sourcing, waste reduction, and digital transformation are also highly relevant. We particularly value contributions that demonstrate how novel approaches drive innovation in industrial logistics and supply chain management by connecting theory and practice.
Paper Submissions
Participants are invited to submit full papers that contribute to theoretical, empirical, or practical aspects of industrial logistics. Selected high-quality papers will be recommended for publication in Springer’s Lecture Notes in Operations Research series. The series is indexed in Scopus and other academic databases. Final selections will be made prior to the conference, and authors must submit revised versions by the deadline to be eligible.
